Prof. Stephen C. Calleya is Director and International Relations associate professor at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies at the University of Malta, and an advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malta with the status of Ambassador. He is the author of Evaluating Euro-Mediterranean Relations; Navigating Regional Dynamics in the Post-Cold War World: Patterns of Relations in the Mediterranean Area; Looking Ahead: Malta’s Foreign Policy Agenda; and editor of Regionalism in the Post-Cold War World. His forthcoming book Security Challenges in the Mediterranean is to be published by Routledge in 2011. He is a regular contributor to the BBC World Service.
