Biographical Statement

Schulz is a feature writer at the German news magazine Der Spiegel. He has written about a wide array of business topics, ranging from the impact of globalization on India to the rebirth of sporting goods manufacturer Puma and the globalization-related boom of the shipping industry. Besides earning a masterís-level degree in political science from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität in Frankfurt, he received a masterís degree in communications from the University of Miami, where he stayed as a Fulbright scholar. Schulz will be in residence at CES as a Bucerius fellow from the end of January to May of 2008.
