Biographical Statement

Runiewicz is an assistant professor in the TIGER Centre affiliated with the Leon Kozminski Academy of Management in Warsaw. She received her PhD and MA in international economics from the Warsaw School of Economics. Her doctoral thesis investigated the impact of FDI on the competitiveness of the Baltic States. Currently she is working on a book on the impact of the digital revolution on the competitiveness of the EU regions. Runiewicz is a coordinator and a team member of several European Commission research projects on the information society in the EU. At CES she will extend her research to a comparative analysis of the ICT contribution to productivity and growth in the EU and US regions. Runiewicz will be in residence at CES during the spring semester of 2008.
