Biographical Statement

Gick is a visiting associate professor in the department of economics at Dartmouth College, where he teaches game theory, the economics of information, and microeconomics. He was an assistant professor at the University of Jena (Germany) and senior researcher in the IFO Institute of Economic Research. His fields of interest are signaling games and contract design, with applications to political economy, regulation, and firm strategies. Gick has also published in the field of patenting and innovation, management development, and entrepreneurship. Current research focuses on strategic information transmission with an application to political expertise, on contracting in platform markets, and on contract design and the impact of internal control schemes.
