Biographical Statement
Gick is visiting associate professor in the department of economics at Dartmouth College where he teaches game theory, the economics of information, and microeconomics. Previously, he was assistant professor at the University of Jena, Germany, and senior researcher at the IFO Institute of Economic Research. His current research focuses on strategic information transmission with multiple experts, with specific application to political expertise. Gick has published in the field of multi-sender signaling games and contract design in multilevel hierarchies. Forthcoming journal articles will be on the topic of patent disclosure and signaling in addition to delegated contracting and internal/bureaucratic control. New work with co-authors focuses on platform markets and exclusivity, extortion in multiplayer organizations, and timing and commitment problems in platform contracting.
