Biographical Statement
Caruso is a professor of law at Boston University, where she teaches contract law and European Union law. Caruso received an LLM degree from Harvard Law School in 1990 and a doctorate in comparative law from the University of Florence in 1992. Her EU Law publications concern the harmonization of private law, judicial review in matters of social policy, and the role of private law in the construction of supranational legal systems. Her current research focuses on the redistributive effects of legal integration. She will be in residence at CES during her academic sabbatical from September to December of 2007.
