Biographical Statement

Bodenstein is Jean Monnet Chair for European Integration at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Freie Universität Berlin, where he teaches courses in European and international political economy. He is co-editor of After Eastward Enlargement: Political Economy Perspectives on a New Europe (2006). He has also published in European Journal of Political Research, European Union Politics, Communist and Post-Communist Studies, and other journals. Bodenstein is currently working on a project that investigates determinants of policy convergence and divergence between the European Union and the United States. He will be in residence at CES during the academic year 2007 - 2008.
