Biographical Statement

Patricia Craig is Executive Director of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies. She is a Political Sociologist and has written extensively on democratic transitions in Southern Europe, gender and politics, and party systems. Before coming to CES, Trisha was an Associate at the Harvard Institute for International Development where she worked on social sector reform, poverty reduction and public private partnerships in Latin America, Africa, China and India. She is co-author of The Quality of Life in Rural Asia Oxford, 2001). She is co-chair of the CES Study Group, Crisis and Reform in European Higher Education. Her current projects examine women and parliamentary politics in Europe, and the state of European Studies in the US.
