Biographical Statement

Abby Collins received the Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande in the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies from President Johannes Rau in November 2001. With Stanley Hoffmann and Guido Goldman, she was one of the founders of the Center for European Studies and remained as Associate Director until November 2001. She is currently the Senior Coordinator for German Studies, organizing the CES-Berlin Dialogues and other activities, in the Berlin office of the Center. She spends six months of the year in Berlin, and the other six months at the Center in Cambridge.
