Anthony Jones

Jones is vice president and executive director of the Gorbachev Foundation of North America and associate professor of sociology at Northeastern University. He is co-founder of the Club of Madrid and serves on its Board of Directors. He has published twelve books and is currently researching and writing about trends in social and economic development in the Mediterranean region that have implications for regional security, cooperation, and integration. In the spring of 2007, he was visiting professor at the University of Paris-Pantheon-Sorbonne, and since 2008 has been a visiting researcher at the University of Versailles.
