Claus Hofhansel

Hofhansel is professor of political science and chair of the department at Rhode Island College. He has published articles on European integration, German foreign policy, export control policy, and the politics of naturalization in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, having appeared in International Migration Review, Comparative Political Studies, German Politics, Arms Control, Journal of Public Policy, and International Studies Quarterly (with J. Jacobsen). He is the author of Commercial Competition and National Security: Comparing U.S. and German Export Control Policies (1996) and Multilateralism, German Foreign Policy and Central Europe (2005). His current research focuses on citizenship and immigration in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and the integration of Muslim minorities in Europe.
