George Ross

Ross is Hillquit Professor at Brandeis and ad personam Chaire Jean Monnet at the University of Montreal. He is a past chair of the European Union Studies Association, having served as acting director of CES (1998-1999), director of the EU Center at Harvard University (1998-2000) and chair of the Council for European Studies (1990-1997). Ross is additionally on several editorial boards. His recent books include Jacques Delors and European Integration (1995) and, with Andrew Martin, Euros and Europeans: EMU and The European Social Model (2004) and The Brave New World of European Labor (1999). He is completing a book on EU elites’ understanding of the crisis of European integration and, with Jim Cronin and Jim Shoch, a volume on contemporary Center-Left politics.
