Marion Röwekamp

Roewekamp has studied law and history at the Universities of Heidelberg, Berlin, Munich and Columbia University. She received her PhD from the University of Munich. She has authored Juristinnen: Lexikon zu Leben und Werk (2005), and the forthcoming Professionalisierung und Emanzipation. Die kurze Berufsgeschichte der ersten deutschen Juristinnen (1900-1945) in spring of 2010. Currently, she is working on the third part of her female lawyer trilogy, a biography of Marie Munk, while preparing her next project on the policing of the family in law, 1749-1933. As a Kennedy Fellow at CES, Röwekampwill be in residence during the academic year 2009-2010.
