Biographical Statement
Yascha Mounk received his BA in History and his MPhil in political thought from Trinity College, Cambridge. Mounk's research interests are in political theory, the history of European political thought, and comparative politics. For his dissertation, he is working on the moral and political significance of luck. At home in Montelaterone, Italy, Mounk is also the editor of The Utopian magazine and has published articles in the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune, The Boston Globe, Dissent and n+1. In Europe, he has written for The European, Unita, Focus Magazin, Der Standard and N24, among others. His first book, on German-Jewish relations since 1945, will be published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
