Biographical Statement
Hedberg is a PhD candidate studying the comparativepolitical economy of post-communist countries. Herresearch explores the evolution of business collectiveaction and its influence on policy reform in emergingmarkets. Her dissertation investigates the formation,organizational development and political strategies ofbusiness associations in Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria.Related work looks at the rise and fall of guilds innineteenth-century Tsarist Russia.
