Erica Dobbs

Her research interests include immigration, politicalmobilization, transnational politics, and organized labor.Her dissertation project explores how trade unionsand other existing political organizations respond toimmigration in the 'new destination' countries of WesternEurope, and how these organizations' responses affectimmigrant political integration. From 2009-2010 shewill be conducting fieldwork in Spain and Ireland withthe support of the Fulbright-Schuman Program and theMIT Center for International Studies. She has receivedpast research support from the MIT International Scienceand Technology Initiative (MISTI) and the Center forInternational Development at Harvard.
