Hannah Callaway

Callaway is in her third year in the history department.She studies eighteenth-century France, with an interest inthe social origins of ideas. She has written on trade guildjurisprudence, social space in Normandy, and the politicalthought of Camille Desmoulins. Her dissertation will usesocial change in revolutionary Paris as a way to think aboutthe interface between society and politics. Callaway alsoholds two graduate degrees from the Université Paris-Sorbonne.
