Biographical Statement
Brown is beginning dissertation research in the fall of2009, focusing on the politics of immigration in liberaldemocracies, with a focus on the role of political parties inimmigration debates as well as on the effect of immigrationon parties and party systems. Countries of particularinterest are Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdomand the US. Other research interests include socialnetworks and the political incorporation of immigrants.
