Oana Dan

Dan is a graduate of Middlebury College and an Ashford Fellow. Her research interests center on political sociology, especially the formation of transnational civil societies through globalization and regionalization. Her work focuses on the European Union and the emergence of European civil society. In previous work, Dan used survey results to analyze the determinants and variation of the sense of EU citizenship among Europeans. For her dissertation, she will further that analysis with in-depth qualitative research by carrying out interviews in Paris and Bucharest.
