Davide Cantoni

Cantoni is working on questions of economic history, political economy and macroeconomics. His economic history research explores the long-term consequences of the French revolution in Germany, of the emergence of medieval universities and their impact on the commercialization of society and the economic effects of the protestant reformation in the Holy Roman Empire. Other research projects examine patterns of consumption in Eastern Germany after reunification and the effects of labor market rigidities on skill-based comparative advantage patterns across countries.
