Biographical Statement
Steta is associate research fellow in economics at the Centre Européen de Recherche en Economie Financière et Gestion des Entreprises, Université Nancy 2, France, and a columnist at the Revue des Deux Mondes. Her research interests focus on monetary economics and transition economics. Her dissertation proposed that the classic economic analysis of the German monetary unification underestimates the political, cultural and historical context of German reunification. Steta is currently working on a project dedicated to the explanation of unfinished German unity. She will be in residence at CES in Spring 2009.
