Biographical Statement

Gick is continuing his research at CES on expertise and strategic information transmission with multiple experts, on tying and contracting issues in platform markets, and on the study of auditing and control in vertical hierarchies, based on already published research in Economics Letters (2008). Earlier research interests include technology policy and small-firm patenting and disclosure strategies (published in JEMS, 2008). He has been long-term visiting associate professor in the department of economics at Dartmouth College, where he was recipient of the campus- wide "Profiles in Excellence" teaching award, assistant professor at the University of Jena (Germany) and senior researcher at the IFO Institute of Economic Research (Munich).
