Eugene B. Skolnikoff

Skolnikoff is MIT emeritus professor of political science, having received SM and SB degrees at MIT (1950), BA and MA in politics and economics at Oxford University (Rhodes Scholarship 1952), and a PhD in political science from MIT (1965). Skolnikoff’s interests lie in the fields of science and public policy. He was a member of the White House staff during the Eisenhower, Kennedy and Carter administrations, director of the MIT Center for International Studies (1972–87), chair of the Board of Trustees for the German Marshall Fund of the US(1980–86), and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts & Sciences. He has published many articles and several books, including The Elusive Transformation: Science, Technology, and the Evolution of International Politics.
