Biographical Statement
Royo is associate dean and professor of government at Suffolk University in Boston and director of the SU Madrid Campus. Royo’s articles and reviews have appeared in CPS, EJIR, PS, West European Politics, SES&P, Democratization, Mediterranean Quarterly, SELA, FP, and Perspectives on Politics. His books include From Social Democracy to Neoliberalism (2000), A New Century of Corporatism? (2002), Spain and Portugal in the EU (with P. Manuel, 2003), Portugal, Espanha e a Integração Europeia: Um Balanço (2005), and Varieties of Capitalism in Spain (2008). Royo writes a regular column for the Spanish daily Cinco Dias. He is working on a project examining the role of institutional arrangements at the regional level in determining national adjustment paths. Royo co-chairs the Iberian Study Group at CES.
