Sofia A. Perez

Perez is a political scientist at Boston University, where she teaches courses in comparative and European politics and political economy. Her work has centered on highlighting the political connections that exist across areas of economic regulation in Europe, including the regulation of labor markets, financial systems, macroeconomic policy, and social policy. Her current research focuses on the politics of immigration policy in the European Union, and on the relationship that it holds to other aspects of social and economic regulation, including the characteristics of European welfare states.
