Cathie Jo Martin

Martin (MIT PhD) is political science professor at Boston University and chair of the Council for European Studies. Martin is writing a book (with D. Swank) on employers’ collective social identities. She is author of Stuck in Neutral (2000), Shifting the Burden (1991), and articles in APSR, World Politics, British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, Governance, Polity, and Studies in American Political Development. Martin received funding from the Radcliffe Institute, Russell Sage Foundation, the University of Copenhagen, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the GMF, the NSF, and the Danish Social Science Research Council. She serves on the strategic advisory board of the Danish National Institute for Social Science Research and served as program co-chair for the 2009 SASE conference.
