Eleni Mahaira-Odoni

Mahaira-Odoni taught political theory and international law and has published articles and critical reviews for Telos, particularly on the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre. She has produced a CD, “Mistral,” following other music recordings. She edited and translated into Greek Monteagle Stearns’ Entangled Allies: US Policy in Greece, Turkey, and Cyprus (1992) and The Greek Paradox: Promise vs. Performance (1998) and, recently, long chapters from English and French for The Economic History of Byzantium by Angeliki E. Laiou (editor 2002/2007). Her research focuses on Venetian history in thirteenth-century Greece and part of her work on the island of Sifnos has appeared in the 2007 CES Working Papers series. Mahaira-Odoni co-chairs the Greek Study Group.
