Biographical Statement

Likin is a lecturer at the Harvard Committee on Degrees in the program of History and Literature where he tutors juniors and seniors in comparative history. His research interests center on peace and war in twentieth-century Europe. For several years, he was the book review editor of the scholarly journal Totalitarian Movements and Political Religions. His manuscript, “A Revolution in Slow Motion: Human Rights Activism in Twentieth-Century France,” is currently under review. He is presently at work on a survey of twentieth-century humanitarianism.
