Biographical Statement

Culpepper is an associate professor of public policy at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, where he has taught courses on comparative capitalism, comparative politics, research methods, and the politics and policies of the EU. He also directs a seminar on European policymaking, which is conducted jointly by the Kennedy School and the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) in France. His research focuses on the politics of institutional change in advanced capitalism. He is the author of Creating Cooperation: How States Develop Human Capital in Europe (2003) and co-editor of Changing France: The Politics that Markets Make (2006, with P. Hall and B. Palier) and of The German Skills Machine (1999, with D. Finegold).
