Biographical Information
Richardson is executive dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. She has served as assistant and associate professor of government, senior lecturer in government, and lecturer on law at Harvard. Her publications include What Terrorists Want (2006); Democracy and Counterterrorism: Lessons from the Past (co-editor, 2007); The Roots of Terrorism (editor, 2006); When Allies Differ (1996), and numerous articles on international terrorism, British foreign and defense policy, security institutions, and international relations. She is co-editor of the SUNY Press series on terrorism. Richardson’s current research projects involve a study of patterns of terrorist violence and a comparative study of counter-terrorism laws and policies.
