Biographical Information
Hofhansel is a professor in and chair of the department of political science at Rhode Island College. He has published articles on European integration, German foreign policy, and export control policy, which have appeared in Comparative Political Studies, German Politics, Arms Control, Journal of Public Policy, and International Studies Quarterly (with J. Jacobsen). He is the author of Commercial Competition and National Security: Comparing US and German Export Control Policies (1996) and Multilateralism, German Foreign Policy and Central Europe (2005). His current research focuses on citizenship and immigration in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
