Biographical Information
Dabrowski is the author of Commemorations and the Shaping of Modern Poland (2004). She has also published articles, book review articles, and reviews in the American Historical Review, Canadian-American Slavic Studies, East Central Europe/L’Europe du Centre-Est: Eine wissenschaftliche Zeitschrift, Europe-Asia Studies, H-Net, Harvard Ukrainian Studies, Kritika, Nationalities Papers, and Slavic Review. Her latest book project is tentatively entitled “Discovering” the Carpathians: Episodes of Imagining and Reshaping Ethnic Borderland Regions. Dabrowski spent much of 2005–2006 in Ukraine as a Fulbright scholar gathering material for that book, and continued her research in 2006–2007 in Poland as an IREX scholar. Her interests include nationalism and identity formation, borderland and regional issues, environmental history, and the intersection of culture and politics in Central and Eastern Europe.
