The Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program, part of CES's initiative to internationalize undergraduate education at Harvard, gives students the chance to work with CES resident faculty members and visiting scholars on a project related to Europe. In 2008-09, a total of 19 students participated in the undergraduate research assistantship program, researching such topics as Policy Choices and Preferences of the New EU Member States: the Cases of Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic, Hitler's Regiment in World War I, and Ideas and Institutions in the Field of Healthcare; many of the assistants continued through the summer. The assistantship involves meaningful research and consists of an average of 5 hours per week at a rate of $11.50/hour. Please note: only currently enrolled students of Harvard College are eligible to apply.
